Position Overview
The Vice President of Engineering - AI will lead and oversee the engineering department to drive innovation and excellence in the development of cutting-edge technologies, focusing on generative AI and health technology applications. This role is crucial in aligning engineering initiatives with the company's strategic goals in wellness and nutrition sectors, ensuring the delivery of high-quality, scalable, and reliable products.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage the engineering team, fostering a culture of innovation and collaboration.
  • Oversee the development and implementation of engineering strategies and processes that align with company objectives.
  • Drive the adoption of generative AI technologies, including GPT-4 and LLMs, to enhance product offerings.
  • Ensure the integration of CI/CD practices in the development cycle for efficient product delivery.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define product requirements and engineering solutions.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and advancements in AI, health tech, and mobile applications to inform engineering directions.
  • Manage the engineering budget and resource allocation to optimize productivity and project outcomes.
  • Enhance infrastructure capabilities to support scalable applications in the B2C wellness and nutrition markets.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field; Master's degree preferred.
  • 10+ years of experience in engineering leadership roles, preferably in health tech or wellness industries.
  • Proven experience with generative AI technologies such as GPT-4, BERT, and large language models.
  • Early stage startup experience 
  • Demonstrated ability to lead diverse teams and manage complex projects.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
