The Superintendent (MTA Project) is responsible for overseeing the overall construction of an MTA project, ensuring that all safety, budget, and schedule requirements are met. The Superintendent will coordinate the work of contractors, subcontractors, and other personnel to ensure a successful completion on time and within budget. This position requires an individual who is highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to handle multiple projects simultaneously.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop and maintain a detailed project schedule
Coordinate the work of contractors, subcontractors, and other personnel to ensure successful completion of the project within the specified time and budget
Ensure that safety standards are met
Inspect and review work progress and ensure that construction complies with plans and specifications
Maintain daily logs and records of all activities and materials
Communicate effectively with all personnel involved in the project

Qualifications:

Previous experience supervising and coordinating the work of contractors, subcontractors, and other personnel on large scale construction projects
Extensive knowledge of New York City Transit Authority (NYCTA) regulations and standards
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Strong organizational skills and ability to multitask
Thorough knowledge of heavy civil construction and civil construction
Experience with subway and rail construction preferred
