Position Overview
The On-Site Safety Manager is responsible for ensuring the highest standards of safety on construction sites. This role involves developing safety policies, conducting inspections, and implementing preventive strategies to minimize risks and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement safety policies and procedures for construction sites.
  • Conduct regular safety inspections and audits to ensure compliance with regulations.
  • Train and educate site personnel on safety practices and procedures.
  • Investigate accidents and incidents to determine root causes and implement corrective actions.
  • Collaborate with project managers and subcontractors to promote a safety culture on site.
  • Maintain accurate safety documentation and reports for regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience as a Safety Manager in the construction industry.
  • Strong knowledge of safety regulations and standards specific to construction.
  • Certification in safety management (e.g., CSP, CHST) is preferred.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to analyze complex problems and develop practical solutions.
  • Familiarity with civil, heavy civil, paving, concrete, earthwork, and other related fields is a plus.
