Description

The Water Wastewater Engineer will provide support for civil and environmental engineering projects including wastewater collection system infrastructure evaluation, rehabilitation, and design, and water distribution system design.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

B.S. or M.S. degree in Engineering with a minimum of 3 years of experience
Minimum three years of experience working with city or utilities.
This position will require an estimated local travel/fieldwork for site inspections and meetings with client site representatives and construction contractors.
Excellent organization and design planning skills.
Proficient using typical business software (Microsoft Word, Excel, Project, Adobe, etc.).
AutoCAD/GIS operating knowledge is preferred.

Pipeline routing alternatives design and analysis
Field investigations/site reconnaissance
Project permitting and coordination with regulatory agencies
Data collection
Utility coordination
Erosion/sedimentation control and tree protection plans
Engineering cost estimating and analysis
Wastewater flow development and hydraulics analysis
Engineering design calculations
Engineering specification review and preparation of contract documents for construction
Bid and award services
Construction phase engineering services.
Prepare project scopes of work and budget estimates
Coordinate with team surveying, geotechnical, structural engineering, and electrical engineering sub-consultants
Coordinate with internal QA/QC reviewers, financial analysts, and administrative assistants.
