Position Overview
The Estimator will play a critical role in our pre-construction team, responsible for preparing accurate and competitive cost estimates for municipal and commercial construction projects. This position requires a strong understanding of construction processes, cost control, and the ability to analyze project specifications to provide reliable estimates that meet client requirements.

Key Responsibilities

Prepare detailed cost estimates for municipal and commercial construction projects
Analyze project drawings, specifications, and other documents to assess project scope
Develop and maintain a database of costs and resources for estimating purposes
Coordinate with project managers, architects, and subcontractors to gather relevant cost data
Review and validate subcontractor quotes and proposals
Provide guidance and mentorship to junior estimators in the department
Participate in bid meetings and presentations to clients
Monitor market trends and recommend strategies to improve estimating accuracy

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field
Minimum of 2 years of experience in construction estimating, preferably in municipal and commercial projects
Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and applicable codes
Proficient in estimating software and Microsoft Office Suite
Excellent analytical and mathematical skills
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to manage multiple projects and meet tight deadlines
