HR Manager

Location: Morgan Hill, CA

Pay: 100k-140k depending on experience

We are a rapidly growing contractor in the Bay area with four local divisions within our company and ~330 employees. 

Position Overview
We are looking to add an HR Manager to the team who will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of human resources practices and processes. This includes managing employee relations (especially time off requests), onboarding and offboarding processes, and working with other internal teams to support things like claims, and safety. The ideal candidate will also support the development of HR policies and procedures that set the company and employees up for success.

Worth mentioning is that there is plenty of support for this position from not only internal employees already in place but also from a corporate level.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage day to day activities like time off requests, onboarding/offboarding, and annual/semi-annual reviews. 
  • Oversee the onboarding and offboarding of employees, ensuring a smooth transition for all parties involved.
  • Implement and maintain employee records and HR databases, including processing time off requests.
  • Develop and enforce HR policies and procedures in line with company goals and legal requirements.
  • Serve as a point of contact for employee relations issues, addressing concerns and fostering a positive workplace culture.
  • Coordinate training and development programs to enhance employee skills and performance.
  • Ensure compliance with labor laws and regulations, and stay updated on HR best practices.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field would be a plus
  • Proven experience as an HR Manager or similar role, with a strong understanding of HR practices and employment laws.
  • Experience with HR software, particularly Paycom, for managing HR processes.
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish is preferred to support a diverse workforce.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build relationships at all levels of the organization.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and HR information systems.
