Automation Specialist

Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Automation Specialist to enhance our manufacturing processes through innovative control systems and automation technologies. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, and troubleshooting automation solutions to improve operational efficiency and productivity.

Key Responsibilities

Design and implement control systems for manufacturing processes
Program and configure PLCs and HMIs to meet operational requirements
Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to automation and control systems
Collaborate with engineering teams on capital projects and process improvements
Conduct testing and validation of automated systems
Provide technical support and training to operational staff
Document system designs and modifications for future reference
Work closely with control contractors to ensure adherence to project specifications

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Controls Engineering, or a related field
Proven experience with HMI, PLC, and automation control systems
Strong knowledge of Rockwell Automation products including FactoryTalk, Allen Bradley, and RS Logix
Familiarity with DraftSight for control system design
Experience in designing and troubleshooting control systems in a manufacturing environment
Knowledge of motion control systems and high-speed encoder technology is a plus
Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
Strong communication skills and ability to work in a team environment
